Hair transplantation is one of the most common aesthetic operations performed by men in our modern world. Nowadays, hair transplantation operation, which we call unshaven FUE, can be applied without scraping the hair and without hitting 0.
Men’s hair loss starts with the opening in the areas we call the frontal gulf. The front hairline disappears, then there is a gradual opening in the crown area, the front and the back meet and the crown begins to open. Especially in cases where the tops of the front gulfs are open, there is no need to shave all the hair. FUE hair transplantation can be performed without shaving in cases where there is thinning and the hair can be easily penetrated between the hair.
Especially in men whose hair in the nape area is about 4 cm long, it is possible to shave 2 strips of one finger each and cover the shaved area with long hair, and almost 2-3 days later, it is possible to have natural, unshaven hair that no one can understand.
What is the difference between unshaven hair transplantation and shaved hair transplantation?
One of the hair transplantation methods preferred by men is unshaven hair transplantation. In shaved hair transplantation, the hair has to be numbered one. Because the crown area is completely empty, shaven FUE should be performed in intensive hair transplants that require an average of 3000-5000 grafts, that is, roots. The unshaven FUE method is applied to areas with a small transplantation area and sparse areas that can be transplanted in between. Women as well as men prefer this method.
How does the process work after unshaven hair transplantation?
The unshaved FUE method follows the same process as other hair transplantation methods. It is important to follow the doctor’s recommendations. Hair starts to grow in the first 3 months. In the 6th month and afterwards, the growth increases. At the end of the 1st year, the actual result begins to show itself. The transplanted and growing hair can be shaped as desired after the process.

This method is performed using FUE or DHI techniques. Hair follicles from the donor area are taken one by one from long hair and transplanted to the recipient area without shaving. Careful work is carried out during the harvesting and transplantation of hair follicles.
People with good general health, hair loss and sufficient donor hair resources are suitable candidates for unshaven hair transplantation. It is also suitable for people who do not want their hair to be shaved and want to keep the healing process private after the procedure.
The duration of the procedure varies depending on the number of grafts to be transplanted. Unshaven transplantation may take longer than shaved methods because the process is done more carefully and slowly as the hair follicles are removed without shaving. On average, it can take between 6 and 10 hours.
